    Today is TDOR and if you follow me at all, you most likely know that TDOR stands for the Transgender Day of Remembrance. I'm considerably passionate about this day as it is a day to remember the lives lost, directly or indirectly, as a result of the prejudice against transgender people. With the events of this year, transgender issues seem to be more widely known. However, this has not made life easier for us as there have apparently been as many as 217 prejudice related deaths in this single year. I myself was astonished and appalled by this news.

    As such, I felt the need to do something as I usually do this time of year. I will say that I have not done a comic or drawing as I have done for the past three years or so but, I have prepared a short poem that I will be posting shortly after writing this journal. I may try to make a comic representing the poem or just some other visual but I'm afraid I haven't prepared anything aside from the poem for today. While I would love to make an attempt at something larger for the occasion, I wouldn't want to release something sub-par just to have something out. Last year's project, for example, was rushed to completion on the day before TDOR and is not something I feel is adequate for such an important day. While it is still up for your reading, is not a work I am especially proud of.

    With that, I hope you enjoy the poem that I've prepared. In any case, please take this day to remember those who are no longer with us and try to stifle the pain of any trans person you know. Spend time together and remember to be strong so that we may make a better future for us all.

It's been a really long time since I've updated my journal so I thought I'd go ahead and write something so I don't have that really old entry just kind of sitting on top there. Anyway, I don't particularly have much to say. I must apologize for the significant lack of content as of late, but as I have recently acquired a tablet, hopefully there will be more new content on the way with more frequency if possible.

Aside from that, there isn't much to announce. If you were a fan of anything I've done but have since put under hiatus such as UOK or the like, please let me know and I will try my best to revitalize such things in some way. After all, suggestions are decently easier to work with than just doing things as they come to me. And I suppose that about wraps this little update right up! Thanks for reading!

If you follow me at all hopefully you know what day is coming up. November 20 is just 9 days away and that means a new TDOR project. I'm working on something big this year and, to be honest, I may not be able to finish it. If I am indeed unable to get this thing done, I'll try to have a bit of a plan B. Hopefully all will go well and everyone will have something nice to look forward to but until then wish me luck!

It's been about three months(?) since my last journal post. Yeah, there hasn't been a new page of UOK in forever. Yeah, I'm being 100% a lazy butt. Yeah, I'm about to go into college and it's doing a number on my nerves. But you know what? We're all good. I'm here to assure you that things are gonna be a-ok. (which totally isn't an acronym for a new series I'm starting )

But first! You know how there hasn't been a new UOK in 5,000,000 years?! Well I do plan on making it up to anyone who cares with UOK making the transition to digital! Crazy right? And you know what that means? COLOR!!!! Anyway, it may take a while for me to get used to working on things this way but I'll let you all know when posting will resume.

Aaaaand yeah, that's about it really. Just kinda checkin in for the journal crew. You know, still alive and such. So yeah, hope everyone hasn't stopped caring about UOK in that long hiatus and I'm gonna get that swinging again asap. In the mean time, might post some random art or something to keep everyone held over until then.

Sorry for not getting anything up for UOK yesterday. I'm kinda going through a lot right now. Just got my first job, senioritis, writer's/art block etc. I might need to go on hiatus for a while. (Don't worry, ch.2 is almost over anyway. )

That said, I will try to do what I can but I won't be going with my "posting schedule" for a while. I'm not ruling the possibility that I may post something out completely but for now I'm not promising it.

When everything gets back to normal I'll let you guys know.
